MONROC SUMMER 2023' EXPLORATIONS

Here we are, almost ready to put the skis aside and get out the hiking boots and the bikes!

As always we are thinking of many new explorations, to take you to discover the most hidden (and most beautiful) corners of the Dolomites, the Stelvio National Park and the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.

We have so many new routes and so many new ideas in mind, and we really can't wait to share them with you!

So here is our weekly explorations' program:

MONDAY_A LOOK AT THE BRENTA. One-day trekking guided by Attilio in the middle of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. A round trip that offers a wonderful view of the Brenta Dolomites. Departure from Patascoss, climb towards Lago Ritorto, descent to Pian dei Mughi and return to Malga Ritorto. Difficulty level: medium. Cost of participation €39 per person. Sign up within 6pm on the previous day. Added packed lunch €8 per person. Departure at 8.30, return around 15.30. Transfer with MONROC Bus (maximum 8 seats). Minimum 2 participants. AVAILABLE LANGUAGES: ITALIAN AND GERMAN.

TUESDAY_BAREFOOT IN THE WOOD... WITH BREAKFAST! The new version of our morning trekking. We leave at 6.00, in the direction of Val di Rabbi. This year our first stop is near the Coler car park, where the new sensory path to do barefoot in the woods awaits us. We then get back on our bus and up towards Malga Stablasolo, where Loris has prepared breakfast for us. But that's not all: after having recharged our batteries we walk towards the majestic Saent Waterfalls, where we will see the wonderful play of light of the first rays of the sun that meet the pouring water. An experience not to be missed. Sign up within 12.00 of the previous day. Level of difficulty: medium/easy. Expected return around 12.30. Cost of participation €44 per person (breakfast included). Transfer with MONROC Bus (maximum 8 seats). Minimum 2 participants. From mid-June to the end of September. AVAILABLE LANGUAGES: ITALIAN AND GERMAN.

TUESDAY AFTERNOON_E-BIKE TOUR* WITH ANDREA_TOUR VALPIANA – LAGO DEI CAPRIOLI_Until the end of September: Departure from MONROC at 2.30pm. We take the Val di Sole cycle path up to Ossana where we will cycle alongside the medieval castle of San Michele and then climb towards Valpiana. Once in Valpiana we will travel across the valley until we reach Malga Valpiana; we will then continue on a white road that will take us up to Malga Bassa di Fazzon and then undertake a short climb up to Lago dei Caprioli. From there the descent will begin which will take us to Pellizzano and then continue to MONROC. Return around 18.00. Difficulty level: medium. Sign up within 6 pm of the previous day. Minimum 2 participants. Cost of participation €49 per person (e-bike rental and equipment included).

WEDNESDAY_E-BIKE TOUR VAL MELEDRIO. Departure from MONROC at 8.30. It starts in the direction of Costa Rotian, here you take the "Senter de la Lec" which leads to Val Meledrio. Going up the Val Meledrio you reach the Malga Mondifrà. Then continue to Malga Vigo and Malga di Darè. Descend towards Folgarida and then return directly to MONROC. Expected return around 13.00. Difficulty level: medium. Sign up within 6 pm of the previous day. Minimum 2 participants. Cost of participation €49 per person (e-bike rental and equipment included).

THURSDAY_WALK THROUGH THE LARCHES AND "GERMANO'S HUT". One-day trekking starting from the small village of Menas. Walking on a white road, we reach Malga Monte Bassa. From there, we take the spectacular route to discover the majestic "laresi de la tegia",  25 enormous secular larches with curious shapes that rise towards the sky. Once we reach a glade we stop to admire the view on the brenta Dolomites and on the Adamello. With a short but strong climb, we then reach the "Bait del Germano", one of those that we can call "an happy place" (find out its story HERE). Here we will stop to admire recharge our batteries with our packed lunch, before going back to the starting point. Difficulty level: medium. Cost of participation €39 per person. Sign up within 6pm on the previous day. Added packed lunch €8 per person. Departure at 8.30, return around 15.30. Transfer with MONROC Bus (maximum 8 seats). AVAILABLE LANGUAGES: ITALIAN AND GERMAN.

FRIDAY_E-BIKE TOUR* VAL DI SOLE PATH. Departure from MONROC at 8.30. Take the cycle path up to Cis. Above the town, take the "Sentiero Val di Sole" which leads to the small village of San Giacomo (which until a few centuries ago was called Solasna and has a beautiful little Gothic church to admire). From San Giacomo continue towards Terzolas. The route then continues in the direction of Pracorno (Val di Rabbi) up to the Ruatti mill. The return will be through the small villages of the Lower Val di Sole: Malè, Croviana, Monclassico, Presson, where we will then take the cycle path up to MONROC. Expected return around 13.00. Difficulty level: easy. Sign up within 18.00 of the previous day. Minimum 2 participants. Cost of participation €49 per person (e-bike rental and equipment included).

SATURDAY_TOUR OF THE MALGHE AT THE FOOT OF THE CEVEDALE. One-day trekking accompanied by Attilio. From the car park, we walk towards Malga Ponte Vecchio. Once we have passed the Malga, we continue uphill inside the Stelvio National Park in the shade of larches and stone pines, until we reach and admire the hidden Lago delle Lame. We then descend towards Malga Mare for a refreshment stop and, skirting the Noce Bianco stream surrounded by rhododendrons, we return to the starting point.. Difficulty level: medium. Cost of participation €39 per person. Sign up within 6pm on the previous day. Added packed lunch €8 per person. Departure at 8.30, return around 15.30. Transfer with MONROC Bus (maximum 8 seats). AVAILABLE LANGUAGES: ITALIAN AND GERMAN.

SUNDAY_E-BIKE TOUR OF THE FORTS: Departure at 8.30 from Monroc. Through the cycle path we will reach Mezzana, from there we will climb along the old road that leads to Passo del Tonale. On the dirt road we will first pass the village of Vermiglio to continue towards Velon up to Malga Pecè. From there we will go up towards Passo del Tonale always on a dirt road. Once at the pass we will continue along the Path of Peace, we will first arrive at the San Bartolomeo Hospice and from there towards the ruins of the former Forte Mero. From Forte Mero we will then climb up to Forte Zaccarana before starting a long descent to Forte Strino. From Forte Strino we will then continue on the dirt road that will take us above the village of Vermiglio and then continue the descent to Ossana and conclude our tour. Expected return around 2.30 pm to the Monroc. Sign up within 6 pm of the previous day. Difficulty level: medium/difficult. Time: 5h. Minimum 2 participants. Cost of participation €49 per person (e-bike rental and equipment included).

*E-bike tours are suitable for those who already have experience with mountain biking uphill and downhill. The tours take place on dirt roads and mountain paths.
